The Old Bakery is 130 years old and is elegant, cosy and relaxing. It is situated in the village of Winkfield twixt Windsor and Ascot.
There is a 1000 years of history you can touch in this area, with Windsor Castle and Eton College the two main heritage attractions. There is a lot more though, Royal Ascot Races and the Windsor Festival are but two of a wide range of 'outdoor' events. Kids love LegoLand, which is just up the road. There are many excellent places to eat and drink, The Winkfield public house is within easy walking distance.
Winkfield is approximately 20 minutes by car from Heathrow Airport and about 45 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Windsor is 6 minutes away and Ascot 5 minutes (approximately). Winkfield has wonderful access to the motorways: M4, M3 and M25. You need a car! Although, Winkfield is well served with trains (nearest station Ascot) and buses from most directions including London, Windsor, Ascot, Bracknell and Reading.
